Common resident. Breeds abundantly on site and seen or heard on every visit.
Winter count:
8 present on 28th November 2014.
Breeding:
2010: Minimum of 10 singing males.
2012: Adult (female) seen carrying food just south of the Thicket, c12 April. 3 singing males in Emily’s Wood, 28th May.
2014: 19 territories, early April.
2016: 33 territories were located mainly in woodland and hedgerow (Steve Morrison).
Ringing:
2011: 6 ringed from August 29th (2) to September 30th.
2012: 22 ringed between May and November, with 10 in October.
2013: 17 ringed between May and October.
2014: 15 ringed between July and November.
