Collared Dove (Streptopelia decaocto)

Common resident. Seen in ones and twos on most visits.

High counts and migrants:
1. 10 seen on 1st September 2004.
2. 10 flew W on 1st November 2005 (perhaps migrants).
3. 3 E on 27th October 2006.
4. 15 on-site, including a flock of 13 along Green Lane, 13th November 2007.
5. 22 on 18th December 2008.

Breeding:
2014: At least 2 singing males, early April.
2016: 3 territories were held, one in Emily’s Wood, the rest in the more urbanised areas to the east (Steve Morrison).
