Robin (Erithacus rubecula)
Common resident. Breeds abundantly on site and seen or heard on almost every visit.
Breeding:
Juvenile seen 27th May 2005.
Juvenile seen July 2006.
1 juvenile seen 15th May 2009.
2010: Minimum of 5 singing males on site.
2011: Pair seen carrying food and faecal sacs, 28th March 2011 (Ray Gleason).
2014: 14 territories, early April.
2016: 26 territories were located primarily in woodland and mature hedgerow (Steve Morrison).
Higher counts:
8 on site on 8th January 2010.
6 on site on 28th November 2014.
Ringing:
2011: 36 birds between May 10th and September 28th. 5 on June 10th.
2012: 35 birds ringed between May and October.
2013: 36 birds ringed between May and October.
2014: 61 birds ringed between May (16) and November (1 bird). A big increase.
